A Christmas surprise has gone missing, and the Elf Detective Agency needs a new recruit. Turn a Christmas Eve box, a Christmas morning gift or a little festive treat into a mystery for children aged 7–10.

Your detective opens the case file, solves 11 puzzles and crosses hiding places off an illustrated house map. When only one place is left, it’s time to find the surprise you’ve hidden there.

How to play

  1. Print the kit, cut out the cards and keep the grown-up notes handy.
  2. Choose your ending: a safe, accessible spot in the garage or a backpack in the hall. Use the matching paper-chain card and hide one surprise.
  3. Hand over the comic, map and 11 puzzle cards. Your detective can solve them in any order, with a little help if needed.

The map is the game board, so you only need one suitable hiding place in your own home. Play in one sitting at your child’s pace.
